The webinar series is a national teaching scheme covering knowledge around main tumour sites including different presentations, relevant investigations and treatment options.
The series will be run by leading oncologists from across the country and is primarily aimed at medical students and junior doctors. In addition to providing the theoretical knowledge required for exams, the series will also give a valuable insight into life as a medical or clinical oncologist.
Our first talk of the series will be held on 25 October 2022 at 18:30. We will be hearing from Dr. Mary Denholm, who will talk about Lung Cancer.
Dr. Denholm studied Medicine at the University of Oxford. She is now a specialist registrar in Clinical Oncology at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge and a CRUK Clinical Research Training Fellow at the University of Cambridge. Her current PhD project aims to examine the role of cellular senescence in lung cancer. She is also the East of England representative for the National Oncology Trainees Collaborative for Healthcare Research (HOTCH). She has an interest in frailty and geriatric oncology. Outside medicine, she enjoys baking and running.
