To all student members of the BONUS community; we are thrilled to invite you, to the very first National Undergraduate Oncology Conference based in the North West. This conference, happening on 5 April 2025 in Manchester, will bring together oncology societies from Manchester, Central Lancashire, Lancaster, Liverpool and Leeds under one team for the first time ever.
The theme “Moonshot” reflects the collective ethos of all 5 of these societies. That the debilitating nature of cancer calls for innovative thinking, pioneering ideas, but critically, global collaboration to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients all over the world.
This event is a unique opportunity for any undergraduate student, with an interest in oncology, to attend a series of thought-provoking talks and workshops from a broad range of specialists. This student-led, student-oriented conference is designed to support all students, no matter their level of research experience, to have their work reviewed by a formal panel, potentially also to be presented on a national stage and judged by welcoming experts in the field.
We know that the future is ours; we want to echo the sentiments of the landmark American study “Moonshot” throughout our careers, but let’s start now! We are so excited to welcome you, our colleagues, to this brand new, broad network of like-minded, patient-focused students interested in a career in Oncology.
