We are pleased to present our upcoming international conference Precision in Oncology taking place on 4th February 2023, World Cancer Day. Join us to hear from experts within different cancer specialties who will be talking about how Precision Medicine is integrated into their work.
It has become increasingly obvious in recent decades that no two patients with the same cancer type are exactly the same and variably respond to the generic treatment such as radiation and chemotherapy. Precision medicine, also sometimes called personalised medicine, focuses on how changes in certain genes or proteins in an individual's cancer cells might affect their care. This allows healthcare professionals to offer and plan specific care for their patients which has evidently resulted in major improvement in fighting cancer. Therefore, this approach has been more and more integrated into cancer research and treatment in recent years.
